This is even more robust than I expected! But there's a lot, since I am both a new manager and new to Decile Hub. What are some of the first things I should do for success?
I see that Decile Base is integrated with Decile Hub, What are some best practices for utilizing the AI within the platform?
For example, a prospect may be willing to sign a PACT, might request more materials, or not respond. Each of these outcomes should lead to a different stage. I know we can manually set stages; the value of this feature is to constrain the choices available at each point. Is there any way to offer more than one button for the "Move to Stage" functionality? Ideally, it would be great to have some time-based automations. E.g., a timeout that moves a prospect to "Unresponsive" after repeated contacts.
In the United States, venture funds are legally required to send each LP a schedule K-1 tax document every year by March 15, and many platforms (like AngelList) generate these documents automatically (https://learn.angellist.com/articles/schedule-k-1). How does this work in Decile Hub?
I'd like to be able to set up an investor accreditation validation linked to a potential LP and then filed on their profile. Is there a way to do this? (I'd rather not have to use Docusign separately for this.)
Decile Hub produces a set of financial statements for a fund. These seem to include a balance sheet, an income statement, a statement of changes in equity and notes of the investment schedule. There doesn't though appear to be a cash flow statement.
I am going to add sensitive confidential data to Decile Hub. How can I be sure it will be not accessible for third parties through a leakage on the Decile Hub end? Does the Decile Hub system pass any cybersecurity checks and audits? Is there any certification?
Does Decile Hub automatically update valuations across funds invested in the same company? Ie: if fund A using Decile Hub as an admin platform updates the valuation of company A to X, will Decile Hub prompt fund B to update company A's valuation to X or, perhaps, automatically update the valuation? If it would it be a bad idea to standardize the valuation of a company across investors on the platform, why?
After the LP signs a PACT and confirms their commitment we send them an SHA on docusign. I was wondering if there is any way to cut out docusign completely and send the SHA through Decile Hub.
I asked Decile Base about the deal tracking capabilities of Decile Hub and here's the response that I got: Decile Hub offers a comprehensive deal tracking system. It includes a CRM with pre-configured templates for closing new investments and staying in touch with your community. Deal Memos can be completed by each team member and exported in PDF. The platform also provides data rooms with granular permissions and preview capability, allowing you to see every file someone viewed and how long they viewed each page. However, the ability to track quarterly or monthly updates from startups is currently not available but is being worked on. And my question here is if someone is aware of , even more and with details, the deal tracking capabilities of Decile Hub, when will Decile Hub have the ability to track quarterly and monthly updates ?
One of the biggest questions I have at all times is "How much money do I have in the fund for investments vs upcoming expenses, management fees, etc.?" The current Decile Hub system of just showing a balance sheet doesn't give me any visibility into future fund admin costs coming, Management fees distributions, etc. Especially if I am doing rolling closes and the amount of management fees due goes up with each new LP (for prior management fees). It would be amazing to have a screen where I see forward cash requirements from the fund (admin expenses and management fees and any other budget fund level expenses) vs projected capital calls. I am worried about running out of cash by investing too much and having to change my capital call structure to meet fees or costs. I would really like this feature.
For Deal Memos, is a term sheet required? Or can we add it once there is one in place?
