Is It Possible to Accept Shares of a Company Fitting the Fund Thesis as Part of an LP Commitment?

is it at all possible / reasonable to take part of LP commitment in form of shares of a company that fits the fund thesis?

This is generally too complicated and not worth pursuing practically.
