The file management experience as it relates to preparing deal memos is poor. After working on the DD and submitting it to IC for review, it looked like they didn't see the files attached to the memo. Turns out the attachments made, were in the Deal (Organization) part and not to the Deal Memo. Having a single experience to upload files would remove confusion. Overall here is my feeback:
- User should be able to upload folders (this helps when the entire data room needs to be uploaded)
- User should be able to integrate with file share software directly and allow transfers into Decile file management (Dropbox, Box, G-Drive)
- Once attached, the files should be available to link across different functions (memo, org mgmt, deal share).
- Bonus if we can selectively share files based on sensitivity. For ex, IC review is all files, Deal share is selected files only.
